I have many PC that we are getting ready to put Windows 7 Pro on all of them. They are in several different locations. Each PC has the CD Key label on it from Dell. I also hvae a Dell CD\DVD for Win 7 Pro that does not require activation, guessing it is an OEM w/Dell's VLK. I am looking for a simple answer to this question. Does anyone know if I can make an image of one PC using this CD\DVD from Dell, then use that image to install on all the other PC's and does it break the licensing to do so?

If that disc is Dell original, it's basically same disc all of those computer are installed from in the factory. After you have installed with it, there is no technical way to tell what media was used.

It's valid to use only on computers that have Windows 7 PRO sticker tho. If you have a computer with Win7 Home Premium, you would need an upgrade license for that particular computer. Annoying.

Depending on the amount of computers you have, Microsoft has volume licensing programs but I don't know enough of those.
