I wanted to know if it's worth bothering with or if I should try and consolidate my free space count. I installed a few games, defragged the drive and they caused my "free space count" to jump from a 42 count from a fresh install to over 10K space count.

I tried to consolidate the free space defrag c: /x and it did not change or improve anything. Is it worth worrying about or should I just move on?

Btw all the games play great, the only time the free space count comes into play is when I do a full defrag defrag c: -w -v and it takes a long time to finish because of the free space count.

Is this for "contiguous free space"? What kind of hard disk?

Yes, "contiguous free space". It's on a Samsung 1TB drive 7200 rpm.
