Windows 7 Godmode Switch

If anyone missed this nice thing called GodMode for Windows 7 here it is:

Create new folder anywhere.
Rename it to: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Done!

I am not saying what this does as I want you to find for yourself.

 

Also try Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Enter

Godmode supposedly doesn't work in Windows 7 64-bit. I wonder why.

Works just fine for me, 64-bit Home Premium.

 

I am running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit and it is working fine too.

Sorry about the trolling picture OP, I didn't realise this was real until the other people tried it.

 

It's a folder with shortcuts. You can just click start>search and get those shortcuts anyway.

 

If you remember every single one of them, sure, why not.

 

I didn't say it's useless, I am just saying it's a bit of a tease. You read "godmode" and you expect something more substantial.

True indeed. I still think the folder is a nice thing. Having EVERYTHING in one place is pretty cool.

Create a folder and then rename it to the following:

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

The folder becomes a Control Panel with TONS of options that aren't available together like this anywhere else.

 

WARNING: For those of you who are running Vista64... DO NOT attempt this. If you do, you will have a locked system and will need to boot into SAFE MODE - COMMAND PROMPT to clear it. The directory will need to be removed manually.

Yeah - For Windows 7 only. Doesnt work on Mac either.

 

Just tried it on the 'other' version of Windows 7 (Win 2008 R2) and it works.

 

Not bad, but nothing particularly amazing in the things there.

Apparently it does work on the 32bit version but not the 64. I have not personally verified this so as always - investigate at your own risk.

 

to bad the only computer i have atm is a vista at work and the safe mode is inaccesible i need the pass from the master it so i'm not gonna experiment it

Its worked for me under Windows 7 64 but not Windows Vista 64 (didn't result in a locked computer, just resulted in an oddly named folder).

Its nice to have all this in one place, reminds me of the control pannel under Windows 2000 for functionality.

You don't really have to name the folder GodMode, I named mine differently and it still works.

 

That's wrong. I've got 64-bit Home Premium 7 and it works perfectly.

 

I think he's referring to Vista and not 7

Yep. Threads have been merged and moved.

It worked successfully in 32bit Server 2008(aka Vista SP1 ).

 

Switches.... put anything (godnessmode, hackersmode, nothingmode, invisiblemode)+ a dot (.) following the switches gives you specific folder on windows 7 32bit or 64bit.

god mode is basically the control panel just fully laid out instead of going through the menu's in control panel..

 

The one that was uninstall a program for you was install a program from the network for me. Strange.

 

By the way, does anybody know what the name for these things is? They remind me of certain reference objects in Visual Studio, but the name escapes me.

 

My mistake, I did that on accident, it actually is network program.
