How do yall currently have windows 7 installed. My laptop is coming in next week and I have never messed with windows 7. I was told default Windows 7 Home Premium comes with 3 partitions....How are the 3 partitions set up?

Your computer is partitioned by your manufacturer, not Windows 7.

This, Depending on who makes your machine, you could have one, two or more partitions.

Who makes your machine? That'll give us a general idea as to how many partitions it'll have on it. :)

With Vista my HP came with a OS and Recovery partition, and I think most HP's work the same way.

The Acer I just got for my aunt only has one visible partition, and the recovery software seems to be hidden in some folder in the C drive, or its on a hidden partition I didn't bother looking for.

It really just depends on who makes the thing.
