    Hello Folks,

I've got a question about the login screen on my newly purchased Alienware. With Login screen I mean the screen that appears, when you boot Windows or after the screensaver showed up.

I've got Windows Home Premium 64 and only run one user account on the notebook.

The login screen requires me to choose my user account first by clicking on the avatar or pressing enter. After that, it lets me type in my password.

At my friend's pcs who got Windows 7 (no alienware), the login screen lets them to spare the first part of the process. It lets them enter the password directly whithout the need to choose the user account first.

I wonder, is it normal for my alienware, that it forces me to select (the only) user account each time or did I mess my settings up with the face recognization? Are there any ways to edit those settings?
(I don't need the "Windwos key + R -> userpasswords2" -> tweak) since I still want to enter my password each time.

Which is normal? how do your alienware systems function?

Thanks so much for you help! :)

btw. I'm german, so plz excuse my failed english ;-)

The two things I can think of are there is more than one user as suggested by granyte and there is a Windows option to force the use of CTRL-ALT-DEL before logon. To get to this, Control Panel, User Accounts, Manage User Accounts, the Advanced tab and the option is at the bottom.
