Apparently, the first Service Pack (64-Bit) for Windows 7 was released around March.

However, the update had not shown up in my Windows Update list until yesterday throughout the evening (I have just installed Windows 7 Ultimate a few days ago), not without issues, however, which made me concerned.

Initially, the Service Pack refused to download via Windows Update (0 KB, 0% Complete), but after the installation of other updates, and a series of restarts, the download, finally, started and the installation was a success.

Yes you are correct, as Aeris said it was released in March 2011 If you are referencing 3Fees post He was just identifying the version of his operating system I believe.
