I installed the latest Creative sound drivers for my XFi, but i cant find the master volume control. All i find is a volume mixer. I usually would not care about this, but the sound is lower now than it used to be in win XP. So that probably means that the Wave volume control at the master volume control is at like 75%, but since i for some reason dont have master volume control i dunno how to increase the wave sound to 100%.
Does any1 have any idea? I heard that if u set winamp to 100% that it will increase the wave volume as well. Could any1 with win7 test that or help me increase my wave volume?
I tried to download an alternative maser volume control but that didnt work.

In the System Tray, single click the speakers icon, and adjust the levels there.
If that doesn't work, right click the speakers icon in the System Tray, go to 'Playback Devices', choose your audio output, double click it, and go to Levels.
Also, if your sound card supports 'Enhancements', make sure it isn't getting throttled down (I know that 'Loudness Equalisation in the Realtek drivers brings the volume down a fair bit). -
do ypu have an XFi volume controller?

yes, i am using the Win7 Beta drivers now which makes the creative Equalizer avaliable (yay).
However i still cant control Wave volume, i guess i gotta re-install windows -
There really isn't any need for that.
Go to your Sound devices window, under the 'Communications' tab, and select the bottom option (Do Nothing).
Also, I'm fairly sure there isn't a 'Wave Volume' in Vista + Windows 7, and I have never experienced the sound being quieter in Vista, compared to XP/Ubuntu.
Have you checked all your speaker connections and any external volume controls? -
Is that not the normal Win7 win controller? I see it has Wave, but i dont have this controller i only have the small one to the right called mixer.
If this is not the stadard Win 7 master volume controller please inform me -
Nope, that's definitely not the Windows 7 Volume Controller.
Heres a quick screenie of my W7 Volume Mixer:
Also, that screenshot implies that someone has ported over a version of the Windows 7 Volume Mixer to XP. And seeing as XP uses the Wave Out slider, they have included it. -
Here is mine
