Hi all, been around here a while with the G51 and mods but have an issue with my "lunchbox notebook HP5102"

I installed an SSD within a week of buying it and thought I'd try dual booting with Windows 8. LSS; after installing the windows 8 partition I noticed in the Disk Management widow that the system reserved 100 meg partition was missing..

Computer seems to boot OK, but when the trial runs out I'd like to revert back to Win 7 Pro only AND image the drive to a larger SSD possibly as I have one sitting around now...

Any ideas on how I'd go about fixing this (short of a full reinstall)?

Netbooks are the slowest things to install and update... :(

    Regards from down under,
    G'David

When i partitioned my HDD for Win 7/Win 8 dual boot, i set 7 as the default OS to load and when i was donw with Win 8, i just nuked the Windows 8 partition and everything was working fine. If you're worried something will go wrong, make a windows 7 repair disc and use that to repair the boot files if things go wrong when you nuke the windows 8 partition.

Thanks for the advice tijo. Had similar settings and extended the boot choice timer. Creating a USB boot disc is something I will have to look into...
