All of the sudden I get this super long boot up and a blue screen and then I get a message that says "failed to connect to a windows service, the problem prevents standard users from logging on to the system, as an administrator user you can view the system event log for details about why the service didn't respond."

I have a new Acer netbook that's about four months old and I upgraded to windows 7 about two months ago. I'm the only one that uses the computer and I'm clueless what's going on. I tried a system restore and I got a message saying to turn off my antivirus (I have Avast) and try again. I get the same message with it off, HELP   I am posting this thread from my old computer as this has caused me to be unable to connect to the internet too.
