I have HP laptop with windows 7 ultimate edition.

The Icons on my desktop are pretty big and it has a resolution of 1280 * 800.
I tried to change the resolution but that is the maximum resolution available.
Do I have to download some driver to increase the resolution or change any settings.

    Any inputs are appreciated.

    Thanks

Currently when I right click desktop and select screen resolution it says:

    Display : Mobile PC Display.
    Resolution : 1280 * 800 (recommended)

This is the highest resolution I can increase, no more option

Ah! That made the icons small thanks.
Haven't used Windows 7 so didn't knew how to make it small.
But still we should be able to increase the resolution, may be that's the highest one supported.

That's a pretty common resolution, it's most likely the highest. What laptop do you have?

1280x800 is indeed the native resolution for that laptop. It can't go any higher.

I've got a HP compaq presario CQ45 with GS 9200M, same BIOS and practically the same board as the first gen DV4t. With the older OSes such as XP Nvidia use to provide scaling with the driver and you could select much higher resolutions and pan with the native resolution. Great if you wanted to take a screen shot of something that wouldn't fit on 1280x800. But it seems in the later OSes/drivers that was taken away. :(
