I have already seen many threads about "Help. I have a problem after SP1 update". If you already updated SP1 and you can't boot or you can but you have other problems I suggest you use restore points. If you can't boot you should use Windows 7 DVD and try to roll back to the latest restore point before SP1 Update.
If you have not installed this update yet you should disable automatic update in Windows 7. This is what Microsoft recommended over a month ago to do until they will solve this problem. But as I still see new threads about the same problem I guess they did not solve this.

However its good to mention that SP1 did not cause any problems for some people (myself included).

OP is ok, its good to know what to do in case of failed update, but still people should not be afraid of SP1 and they should update, its a good thing (paranoia is not)... -

Windows may become unstable. Also may be BSOD. Mostly people did not meet any problem but it happened enough in the world to take a note. You shouldn't be surprised much and know what to do if this happens. I made this thread so someone will find a solution or at least will know that he is not first or alone
It would help more if I did this way earlier. I personally installed Windows with built-in SP1 just in case.
The last one guy with this problem I found. http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...4-bit-killed-my-media-player.html#post7372302 -

i myself tried almost 2- 3 times and it was being stuck at some point and i had to restore it everytime and then i read somewhere it's because of Language packs and antivirus , so i removed them and it installed smoothly.
