    http://arstechnica.com/information-...w-has-a-service-pack-2-but-dont-call-it-that/

Microsoft recently released what is basically a SP2 for Windows 7 recently. I was wondering if anyone has installed this onto their OS and have had any of the Windows 10 Update malware installed with it?

I don't have an extra copy of 7 TO play around with in a VM and I don't want to blow up my desktop's OS if it in fact does have the malware.

I heard others from another site did do a fresh install and it worked only part missing where anything after May 2016 updates. But from what I read and seen others have said it was pretty good.

    So...

On a system that was fully updated as of last night KB3125574 does not seem to add anything new. Will try it later tonight on a fresh SP1 install with KB947821 applied and see what else pops up

Will be interesting to see if things like KB3022345 get installed...

We've already gone through this over here. Don't expect it to add anything on a fully updated system because it's not a Service Pack. It's 113 updates combined as one.

You don't have to guess which updates that are included, MS have it all documented.

AND, it installs the telemetry / Windows 10 updates so I would avoid it and use the Simplix Pack instead (google it), it install all the latest updates in one go minus the bad ones

Just finished trying this and yes it is not pretty... Telemetry and all the GWX related updates seem to be present. Instead of having the info on this hidden in a 90 pages thread perhaps we need something more visible, this is MS at their worst...

Now that their mobile OS is dead and Nokia being sold off, They are in desperation but this could have been done in an entirely different way...

Is there a slipstreamed iso of win 7 ultimate x64 with all the updates in it already (sans win 10/telemetry)?
