In mac os you can choose suspend to RAM and the computer's sleep light blinks almost instantly after you close the lid

I can't figure out how to enable suspend to RAM in W7, it takes a few seconds (maybe it means suspend to disk)

I have read that setting trought BIOS is possible but i don't have BIOS on mac

any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance :D

Maybe your using hybrid sleep. You can check under the power settings and turn it off if you don't need/like it.

I have not used Macs before, so forgive me if I'm misinterpreting your question. I assume you want to make the computer go to sleep mode, but with all the data saved to RAM rather than HDD, so it sleeps fast and wakes up fast.

If that is so, you have to disable pagefile within control panel (control panel > system > advanced system settings > performance settings > advanced > change), uncheck 'automatically manage page file for all drives' and select your drive, click 'no page file' and click 'set', click ok a few times and restart. This ensures that no data is saved to the hard drive and everything stays in RAM. However, you need sufficient RAM to do this (6GB or more) because having not enough RAM is not a good thing. After doing this, when you enter sleep mode it will take about 3 seconds or so, and wakeup takes 2 seconds to show my login screen. Hope this helps :)

Disabling hibernation will disable hybrid sleep and true sleep will be the only remaining suspend option. Even then, it still takes a few seconds to sleep.

It will but just so the OP knows, you don't have to disable hibernation to disable hybrid sleep. I have hybrid sleep turned off when I am on AC power but have it on when on battery. That way if the battery runs down while in sleep mode, I don't loose anything.

No you do not have to do this at all. That has little to no affect on sleep time, since the pagefile is already on the disk when entering sleep mode.
