I just sold my laptop w/o an operating system, but I'd like to install windows 7 for the buyer so they can see everything is finctional. Can i install windows but not enter a product key? I've read this is valid for 30 days.
My questions are.
1. Is this valid?
2, if I install windows 7 pro, can they enter a windows 7 home product key once they buy one?
3. Is there a location to download windows 7 .iso?
Many thanks.

1. Don't know why it shouldn't be.

I think that install DVD has all Win7 versions and it chooses which features to include when you give the key. Don't know how it works when you decide to activate it later though.

I don't think you can downgrade in the same manner that you upgrade. Downgrades require full reinstallation. But yes, it is valid (Windows 8 has stripped us of the keyless install luxury).

I have that ISO, it works exactly as killkenny1 said.
