I just ordered a new laptop, a sager np5160, from Xoticpc.
When I ordered it, I choose not to purchase an OS with it, having seen the $30.00 Windows 7 upgrade for students.
So heres the problem....
The new laptop won't have windows xp or vista on it to upgrade from, which is needed seeing as it is a windows 7 "upgrade".
I do have windows XP on this desktop, but if i moved it to that computer, it would no longer be operable on the desktop. Furthermore, I believe this XP machine is OEM, and thus cannot be moved, anyway.
Would it be possible or smart to buy a windows XP key online?
This site lists them for $22. Is that legit? Linked removed by mod
And if it is, could i instal XP on the new laptop with the OEM disc I already have? ( I assume its OEM. Looks like a windows cd, but says 'for distribution with a new PC only. for product support, contact the manufacturer of your PC.')
In the case that its not possible, but I could potentially use that purchasable key, where can i get a retail XP cd?
And to clarify, I already bought the windows 7 upgrade =/, so I would really like to make this work instead of just buying windows 7.
I found this video. Does anybody know if it would work?

Ways to bypass restrictions are not allowed to be discussed here(see forum rules). Thread closed. Also, any site just selling keys to software should be avoided at all cost.
