    Has anyone upgraded there Windows 7 Home Premium edition to Windows 7 Ultimate or Pro using Windows Anytime Upgrade feature? Any issues?

    Not sure why I'd consider your question a diss... unless it was meant to be. :D However, I digress. The reason, I would, is so that I could join and access my domain properly and manage said domain the way I'd like to. Kind of difficult to do with a OS that was not intended for such applications.

    the upgrade is pretty painless and worth it if you want domain controls

    Win 7 Ultimate just gives you extra languages and file security, if you can do what you want with Win 7 professional and save a few dollars... why not.

    I concur... either was fine with me. I was just wondering if anyone else had. I know there have been issues with clean installs so didn't want to be surprised with anything. I have keys for both. My wife, whom is Japanese, would likely like to use my machine occasionally; I may go ultimate for the language support alone.

    I bought the Pro upgrade key from Amazon, went fine no problems. ;)

    Yes I have win 7 ultimate on both my r1 and r3 and all I did was enter the new cd key to the windows anytime upgrade and took about 10 minutes and worked seemlessly.
