Pre-orders are in effect. But there are questions that need answers.

    1. There are three flavors, Home Premeium, Professional, and Ultimate. I only heard 2/3 will have pre-order discounts (HP and Pro). Is that true?

    2. What are the base prices of the upgrade version non pre-order?

    3. Finally, where can I pre-order windows at the discounted price and when can I do that?

All of those questions have been answered within the last three days of posting on this board. Spend a little time looking and you'll find them. Or you could go to the Windows 7 website and read all about it.

It's probably easier to make a new thread than do searches.. so I don't blame him.

    1. As far as I've seen

    2. $110-130, not too sure.

    3.amazon.com, best buy, microsoft.com

It's always better to post in an existing thread than start a new one. Posting the same question over and over means people have to answer it over and over.

1)Yes, I'm pretty sure that it's only HP and pro as well.
    2) $120 for HP and $200 for Pro
3)Newegg, Amazon, and Walmart are just the few that I remember

No it's easier to search or to read the gazillion threads on it already. Plus reading the threads is an education in itself.

Well not really... you post a thread with questions, come back an hour later and a lot of helpful people have replied with specific answers tailored to the original question. It's a lot harder to get that kind of specific info sometimes

Wondering how many times a question has been, or needs to be, "rephrased" in order to get the same specific answers that were already being well discussed in the vast repository of NBR.

    cheers ...

True... if the questions are unique or contain variations / nuances that affect the answer.

In this case, I don't see where either of those apply.
