Question:
1.) How does ReadyBoost increase performance?
2.) What USB flash drives(thumbdrive, external HD, SSD) are needed to do ReadyBoost?
3.) What format(NTFS, FAT, FAT32) is needed for USB Flash Drive and what is the size(GBs)?
4.) How to use ReadyBoost?
Thanks. + Rep for good answers and information.

1) Readyboost takes advantage of Flash Memory's random read speeds by placing a copy of the Pagefile onto it. Reads from the Pagefile are thus boosted
2. Your flash drive needs a minimum 2.5MB/sec throughput for 4K random reads and 1.75MB/sec throughput for 512K random writes.

3. It uses Fat32. Minimum of 256MB
4. To use Readyboost, plug in a flashdrive. When Autoplay shows up, hit "ReadyBoost" -
It's useless if you can afford to buy RAM modules.

I have 4GB of RAM on my Vista 64bit, will ReadyBoost benefits me?

In conclude, if I didn't out of RAM, ReadyBoost is completely useless?
So, can I disable this Services(ReadyBoost)? Since I didn't use it? -
It was designed mainly for low power netbooks which typically have slower harddrives and smaller amounts of memory. Of course, that is changing, thanks to the inexpensive cost of RAM and the declining price of SSDs. -
SSDs are still very fresh in my country. And the price is ridicolous.
I can't afford to buy them now. LOL.
