    Hey,

I was thinking of maybe trying out Windows 7 (seems cooler/faster than xp sp3).

The problem is I'm afraid some of my apps won't work in windows 7. For example, a quick google search tells you notebook hardware control (NHC) does not work. So what would I use to control cpu voltages?

What about I9kfangui? ATi Tools? Rainlendar? Powerstrip?

    Thoughts?

There is a thread already with bugs and programs that are already known not to work: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=340864

Might also help if you posted this in the correct Windows 7 forum rather than in the main Windows forum.

Anyway, I believe that RMClock works just fine.

You might want to check if any of your other apps have known problems by running the upgrade advisor here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/upgrade-advisor.aspx

Finally, might be worth visiting the windows 7 forums, specifically this thread: http://windows7forums.com/windows-7-software/1791-beware-do-not-install.html which details programs that do not run properly and cause issues.

    Regards

Generally (though not in all cases), if an app is built for Vista, it should work in Windows 7. Again, not in ALL cases however.

I have yet to find an app that hasn't worked. Though many won't support Aero Peek and Jumplists and the sort as of yet, obviously.

    Any idea if NHC works?
