Cheers mate.

6 editions??? I thought we wanted less editions to choose from, not more....
-
Do not question the power of Microsoft
. The know better
.

I looks like 3 versions will be available to the masses to purchase, Premium, Professional, ulitimate (limited).
So even though there are 7 editions available we will generally probably only see 3. -
Yup, this is discussed in another thread at length. If I can remember which one, I'll post the link here.

Don't post the same thread multiple times

One thing I am looking forward is trying out the "booting from virtual hard-disk" feature... I haven't tested that yet, but if it proves handy I might decide to just ditch Vista and VMWare Workstation to just use Windows 7 and this feature...
Just the thought is giving me goose bumps! Microsoft had better not remove it from the feature list, or else. -
What does "offline folders" mean?
-
Most likely it's this same feature that is available in XP. See here also. It basically allows you to synchronize files/folders that may be at another location (most likely a file server) with your computer so that when/if you somehow get disconnected from the network you will still be able to access those files "offline". The main thing here is that it synchronizes w/ the server as u log on and off...keeping ur files up-to-date with the latest data. If u make changes to a file or document while offline, when u re-connect with the network the syncronization process will take place either by u manually synchronizing or when u log on or off the computer. I would like to think that mostly users/workstations in a domain environment would be using/needing this feature mostly. nevertheless it's a good feature to have whether or not ur in a domain environment.
