I am having the hardest time trying to install Windows 7 onto this laptop I got. I'm not sure what the issue is. I used Rufus to make a bootable device on my Lexar 64GB flash drive. The installation media creates successfully. I'm using an image I downloaded from using this tool Mr Fox provided: https://www.heidoc.net/joomla/techn...icrosoft-windows-and-office-iso-download-tool
It's the Win7_Ult_SP1_English_COEM_x64.iso, but whenever I try to boot from the USB drive it starts the windows 7 loading logo and freezes just before the logo comes together and all my USB devices look like they just stop working.
Is this an issue with USB 3 and Windows 7? If so, is there a way for me to install this without having USB 2 ports on the laptop? I can say that I've never had such a tough time wanting to switch off of Windows 10 and go back to Windows 7.
Also, just a tid bit of extra information. I initially tried installing Windows 7 onto a spare hard drive while booted in Windows 10 but 20% into trying to expand the Windows Files it stopped with an error message saying that it could not complete the installation because it failed to download a driver. Not sure if that is relevant or not but figured I'd mention it as well.
Edit: The main reason I'm wanting to go back to Windows 7 is in hope to get rid of this weird lagging issue I'm having when loading into games and loading content in games. It's very annoying and for as much as I paid for this laptop and as fast as it should be running. I should have a friend on an external USB 3 ssd loading into games faster than me by a good 10-15 seconds and I'm watching the loading screen at 1fps during that time. Hoping it's just a driver issue with Windows 10 and this 1080 in here.

How to install Windows 7 on Samsung 950 PRO (applies to all NVMe SSDs) -
Interesting, I was following your steps and your Samsung drivers link is no longer available. I tried to just copy the few files from the installation of the 960 evo but when trying to load them it mentioned something about there being no signed drivers available. http://www.mediafire.com/download/wwgcc81tym3w951/Samsung_NVMe_Driver_v1.4.7.17_(Windows_7).zip
This is what I tried putting on the flash drive that failed to load so the ssd could be seen.
Edit: Nevermind, I was able to find an updated version on this link here on the website: http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...an-nvme-ssd-from-a-usb-3-0-thumbdrive.783921/Last edited: Oct 28, 2017 -
Took quite a bit of digging but I managed to find just about everything I needed driver wise for Windows 7. Was a little tricky considering this laptop was not made with Windows 7 in mind. Any idea what that last Unknown Device is or how I can get more information on what it is? Once I get this one item figured out I'm going to back this image up as well so that way I will have one for Windows 10 and one for Windows 7 as well. Then I'll get the rest of the stuff done and we should be good to go.

Boom, got it! You're awesome! Looks like I just need to disable it in the BIOS since I don't use BitLocker and will never need to in the future.
