I was wondering if it would be possible to use my mp3 player as an install device for windows 7 since i dont have the cd. I have the iso file and what i did was format the player to an fat32 file type with a bootable disk. The problem is that my bios doesnt detect my mp3 player as a USB device to boot from, so can i just run the setup.exe from my computer and install a clean installation from there?

Interesting concept which in theory can be done, since the mp3 player can be interpreted as a USB device. But if the mp3 player contains some sort of software and utility that would block the BIOS detection, then maybe no.

Best thing is "just do it" and find out, does not hurt.
