Windows 7 preorder

hey guys i ordered the windows 7 preorder back in maybe it was july. but anyway do any of you guys know when i'll get it, do actually ship it on October 22 or will I receive it on the 22nd. I ordered it off newegg

I ordered from Bestbuy and got an email today that it just shipped.

 

i pre-ordered thru amazon with that $50 discount price..
received e-mail this afternoon saying they shipped my item, estimated receive date 10/22..

 

Newegg just shipped them yesterday.

 

You should've gotten it today. I got mine today.

 

I also pre-ordered mine from Newegg back in July. Received notice this morning that all three copies shipped yesterday and will not arrive until tomorrow the day after others could buy it at the retail store. I was hoping that Newegg was more on the ball and have it shipped so that it would have arrived on the 22nd.

 

Mine arrived today, and it was shipped yesterday. They can't ship it until they actually get it (which differs from retail to retail). Delivery time is also different depending on where you live.

1 day delivery time was quite exceptional with no charge, imo. Newegg has never failed me.

In any case, at least you got them at 70 dollars + tax off for EACH copy from Newegg, right?

 

I ordered one from Newegg and one from Amazon. My Newegg order is out for delivery today. Haven't heard from Amazon yet.

Well yes we did. But this is like Santa not dropping the presents off until the 26th of December.

Back when I lived in the UK, online stores like Play.com and Amazon.co.uk are much more on the ball - like if you pre-order a game they will send it early so you will receive it on the release day. I know the USA is massive in comparison and shipping times vary considerably however if you pick 3-day UPS Newegg should post it 3 days before. If someone gets it next day or within 2 days - good for them but at least everyone should get it by/on release day.

I think the fact that I used to work for a M$ gold certified partner and got free copies of anything I wanted months in advance is adding to my frustration!

 

Pre-ordered from Amazon in June for $50 with free Super-saver shipping. Mine doesn't even start to ship until October 26th, lol. Definitely not doing a pre-order with Amazon again. Oh well

 

ARRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!! UPS has rescheduled my delivery from Friday to MONDAY!!!!!! So much for my Friday night plans. The package is only going from Memphis TN to Wisconsin. I can drive that in a day. So much for 3 day shipping.

 

I did a Pre-Order of Home Premium...for $50 - then they announced their Student Discounts.

I tried to activate my Student discount (no go, STILL working on that for a copy of Professional)

Then I get my copy of Ultimate for House Party
I decide to cancel my order of Home Premium...and I they say I have to let it ship.

Mine still on track, shipping from South CA to North CA aint a hard task. Although I am the last stop on the delivery route out of my area so probably get it about 7:30pm tomorrow...booo!

 

I preordered in june from bestbuy in canada and i got it in my mailbox this morning. The Shipping date on the invoice was the 14th and i got an email last night saying it shipped weird

 

Same here. Why couldn't they ship the pre-orders on time?

 

Mine left newegg a day late, my fraud prevention on my credit card must have kicked in when they tried to charge it.

I had to call and get it to go through, it says its due 10/23 so may come in later today.

That just gives me a day to get my Vista install ready for the upgrade by backing up and moving files off the primary drive so I can do a clean install.
