    how consuming is the OS?

is it as consuming as vista, not as consuming, etc.?
because as far as i know/have heard (because im not a software junkie i dunno this stuff well), vista is going to use ~2gigs of my ram constantly, of out the 4 that i have (running vista 64bit)

Windows 7 consumes less resources than Vista does. It actually scales very well with machines that have limited memory of about 512 MB. There is another thread in these forums that a person tested out Windows 7 with a varying amount of memory and got excellent results.

Edit: Found that thread here. Give it a quick read, as the results are amazing.

I wish I was getting fast boot times. Unfortunately it seems to take minutes to load up for me.
