. RTM = Release To Manufacturer

. No, you don't need to buy the retail version if you have the official key that comes with the RTM; and you get the same updates as with other verions.

. Sure, as long you get a license key for each of the comps you own. And try not to believe in the hack that floats out there with the OEM key. MS has already patched it, and you will end up with heaps of issue, besides flirting with piracy.

    cheers ...

The final, release version of Windows 7.

You have the RTM, if your key is legit, it should work. RTM is/close to the retail version.

If you have multiple licenses, yes.

alright thanks now my laptop has only 4gb of ram.. Which would be a wiser decision to put on my laptop 32bit windows 7 rtm or 64bit windows 7rtm?? i mean 32bit catches 3.5gb and 64bit catches the rest, would it better for my comp to get 64bit though? will .5 gb do a difference?

Go for 64 bit. It'll future proof you.
