Hi, i am using win 7 64 pro and recently i have noticed my search within folders has stopped working.

when i type something in the search field nothing at all happens, does anyone know how i can fix it?

I have looked in admin options and in services, and windows search is enabled.

    Thanks

    James

I would start with an AV scan.

Have you made any changes before this happened and did you make sure your windows update is the latest updates to your O/S as well? Also did you check to see if your A/V or malware scanner is up to date? Can you be more specific when you mean search within my folder what criteria did you use or type with?
