    Hello there

I got a question, i would like someone to explain for me. I am buying a new laptop soon and i am choosing the laptop not to come with any OS installed, so the Windows 7 will be in a trial mode from the reseller. I got a friend, university student who has some serial keys that he has been give from his department (since he was an IT student.) can i use those serial keys for me to install Windows 7 on the new laptop? may i use that serial key to upgrade from trial mode to full mode just by inserting the serial key? how does it work?

or do i provide the serial key somewhere in the microsoft page and i get the win 7 installation setup?

can someone explain it for me pls

    ty

Your friend's keys should work, but just so you know you and him are both violating the EULA and the license agreement with the university by your taking that software.

    End of thread.
