I just installed Windows 7 Pro x64 RTM I downloaded from MSDNAA. It looks very nice but i'm getting excessive lag when I try to open anything on the computer, be it My Document or Firefox. I hear A LOT of hard drive access during loading, way more than Vista and XP did. I've turned off Indexing and Windows Search, no help. So right now I just have a pretty looking OS that's slower than Vista by a big margin. The RC wasn't like this, please help.

It's probably a missing or alpha driver that was installed.
Try installing your Vista 64-bit motherboard drivers.

Nope, I was saying that the 1st installation could have been botched.

    cheers ...
