I have OneNote 2010 and I want to disable Windows Search from indexing it. I've tried to remove it from Control Panel > Indexing Options, however it keeps coming back. How can I permanently disable it indexing for OneNote only?

I noticed a selection for indexing in Programs and features when I turned on the games on for my copy of 7 Pro. Indexing is unchecked on my system. I am unsure if this will be of help.

That just turns the indexing service on and off. I want it to be on and index certain parts of my computer, just not my OneNote stuff

What is the purpose of indexing. It was off by default on my system.

Allows searches to perform more quickly and lets you define areas of your computer to quickly search.

Thanks for the information. My computer was XP Pro and I put 7 Pro on it less than two weeks ago. I have no idea why that feature was turned off. I enabled it and noticed that I can play 3d games while XP mode is up and running know.

type "indexing options" into the search bar, and click it. you should see the following:
See if OneNote shows up like it does in mine.
