I've heard that the reason why Explorer in Windows 7 x64 cannot show PDF thumbnails is because the add-on is x86. However, when I view the folder (by clicking Browse ... or similar) in a Flash-based file browser (i.e. some uploaders use a Flash applet to let you pick the file and not the regular HTML picker), the thumbnails appear and also work in Explorer afterwards. Is this a glitch or is there some update I can get that allows me to see the PDF thumbnails in Explorer without having to view them through a Flash-based file Browser first?

This is a bug in Adobe's installations, which Adobe hasn't gotten around to fix for many months now. It's anybody's buess if they'll ever fix that. However, your observation is interesting, maybe somone could turn that into a fix?
