Ok i've attached a screenshot of what 7's doing. I'm on teh 64bit version of the RCbuild downloaded directly from the m$ site. Yet since sometime yesterday it's doing this to me. I have 4GB of ram, i'm on 64bit os. And yet it's not letting me use all 4GB. Anway i've attached a screenshot of the message in 7's wonder screen.

Were any updates installed yesterday or the day before? What laptop do you own, and what is the chipset in that laptop? In the BIOS, do you have something called memory remap, or something related to that? If so, is it enabled? When you enter the BIOS, does is say 4GB is usable, or does it report something else?

i have a Asus G50Vt-X5. Bios i'm not sure atm. I'll check it once i restart it. Memory remap never heard of it before/seen it in the bios when i was lookiing at all of the options in there before. Updates as far as i know, no. I tell 7 to not update unless i say it can.

Oh well i didn't realize my computer's name was such. Meh, it's not like the screenshot mattered that much anway then.

The thread I found refered to the Asus motherboard as having the memory remap. I'll post the link tonight so you can read it.

without that screenshot you are going to have to tell us how much ram, what chipset, what gpu (or igp), etc, etc.

I checked the bios it has no memory repmap what so ever. The bios also reads 4GB of ram ready to go. I have a 64bit OS so i don't see why in the world my gpu's memory would honestly matter. I have a 9800m GS. It has 512MB of ram. This has just started happening. Also i'm going to blame this on my laptop's horrible track record with any Windows OS. They all randomly break on me so i'll call it's bluff so to pseak on this one right now.

When i got my laptop it had 64bit vista on it. The only thing this thing's ever had is a 64bit os onit. This is the first time i've ever seen it only be able to use 3GB of RAM.
