So i go to check for new windows updates today, get an important one and install it.
The update fails and this is the first time i have seen this message since ive used Windows 7 since release.
As i open all installed Windows updates i scroll down and see that all together i have around 4 out of 101 updates that failed and never even realized it.
I was wondering if there is a way to fix these failed updates? Ive already tried typing services.msc into run and turning off Windows Updates Service then deleted the SoftwareDistribution in /Windows then re enabling the service and updating again, but unfortunately it said i had no updates to install D:
The only thing i can remember about the updates before i tried deleting the SoftwareDistribution folder is one had to do with Windows Defender, another with Windows Security, and... i think another had to do with Internet Explorer 8 or 9.
Any help with this problem would be great.

Did you get any kind of error code when you got that message? If so do a Google search on that code. If not then do a search on your subject "Windows Update fails and does not install ". Lots of different solutions. Maybe one of those will help you.

Go to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/ and search for the errors.
