I want to move user data folders (not the whole user folder, just the folders inside it) off the system drive and onto a second internal hard drive.
I know how to do it (Preferences and Location for each folder I want to move.) Do not suggest that I move the entire user folders. I know this can be done, and I do not want to do it.
Please let me know if there will be any problems moving any of the below user data folders from C: to D:. I read somewhere that you shouldn't move user folders like Desktop or Contacts as they should stay on the system drive. But other places say you can move everything.

I wouldnt mess with them if i were you. Games are programmed to save files on OS filepath .things like music, videos, documents can be changed. But some programs will still save file in old file destinations because they were programmed in doing that...
apart from fodlers i mentioned above, i dont think any other can cause some problem with PC functioning. -
Thanks, nuaron!
Anyone else have feedback? -

I moved everything except "Desktop" and "Appdata". Works fine.

You can safely move any of 'Your Folders' that have a 'Location' tab on their 'Properties'

As olyteddy said, if you right click on a folder, select properties and see a location tab you can safely move the folder. See the attached image below for all the ones I safely moved.
