I have been looking at new laptops and some of them list the OS as Windows 7 with No Media.

    What does No Media Mean?

    Thanks,

It means that no physical media with the Windows 7 OS or installed programs comes with the laptop. This is common practice nowadays. Usually the laptop manufacturer has a program installed that will allow you to make backup/restore copies of the software that comes installed on the PC to DVD's. This will allow you to restore your PC back to the out of the box state in the future if you wish.

The "no media" is to save the manufacture money.
