It is that time again. Another month but this time we have XP support dropped. It seems though that will be a hard camp to just tuck in its tail and run away.

Once Windows 9 releases, Windows 8 will be forgotten like Vista. Windows 7 will become the new XP. Call it a hunch.

Let's just wish that Windows 9 will become the new Windows 7. I have to say that I am quite pessimistic on that front, however. I have little hope of Microsoft indeed reversing the extensive damage they have done to their OS. Well, we have another six years at least until the end of support for Windows 7...

Well, 2020 is a long way off. I some how doubt windows 9 will be the only release before then. I would hope if the ui is not fixed with windows 9 that it is by the next iteration. Actually I would like to see a better ui in windows 9 and beyond so history does not get repeated but you never know.
I suspect if there were an easy windows 7 upgrade path then migration off of XP would be a bit faster but I am also sure there are die hard users out there that would stay with XP for quite a while. -
Well it looks as if Windows 8 ended the month strong. I think Windows 7 ended it stronger though. A lot to do with people abandoning their XP machines.
