Hey guys, currently installing Windows 8 on my Alienware M14x laptop. I was just wondering what your guys' suggestions are regarding maintenance and keeping my computer fast and clean. Should I use CCleaner and Glary Utilities, etc? Any recommendations on an Anti-Virus and Malware program?

The stock Windows Defender antivirus works just fine and I would recommend against installing another, which would only bloat your system. CCleaner works great as always!

I use Norton 360 and CCLeaner No issues here .

If you're familiar with Microsoft Security Essentials, then Windows 8 has it already (now re-branded as Windows Defender). It does the job without weighing the system down.
I do not recommend Norton 360. It's real time protection and detection rate is fine, but it's heavier on resources than some of the competition and is really nothing to write home about in terms of protection, in my opinion.
Ccleaner works great, as does Glary Utilities - although you really only need one or the other (Ccleaner runs quicker and is comparable - if not better - than Glary). Look into Auslogics Disk Defrag as well for your defragmentation needs (unless you have a SSD, then don't use it).
A one time application I like to use is TCPOptimizer. There are several variants that work the same; it basically tweaks some TCP/IP and registry settings to improve network performance, thus helping page load times when web browser.
