    You'd be able to, if you have a Windows 7 license. Also, please avoid posting the same question across multiple parts of the forum, as cross-posting is poor "netiquette."

    My apologies. And so, I'd have to buy a windows 7 disc with activation code, and then format and install?

    Yep, that'd be the only way on the Lenovo IdeaPads (the Thinkpads currently can be configured with W7). Is there a particular reason you want to downgrade?

    I prefer Windows 7 to be honest. I've been using it for a long time and am used to it. Windows 8 really doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. The Windows 7 option one was removed from the store early this morning which irritates me because I would've got that. Now I have to spend the extra money on downgrading and the time to do so as well.
