I am looking to start several .exe programs at start instead of having to manually start each one at startup.

    Here's what I've already tried:

Putting shortcuts in Startup folder in both "secret" appdata folders = Nothing happens.

Setting a program to launch at User logon Using Event Scheduler works 30-50% of the time.

Someone pls help me make something so basic and essential work on Win 8 (something that always worked flawlessly in previous Windows versions trough Startup folder).

You could try configuring batch files, but without some command line knowledge or a guide, that's easier said than done. Do the programs you want to autorun at start up not appear in Startup or Services, within msconfig?

I suppose if you can't get it to run using the task scheduler, then a batch file might be your best bet. You can make a batch file using notepad, and then change the file extension to .bat. But you will need to figure out what text to type/insert into the .txt file first, then save it and change the extension and reboot to test it.
