I am the only user to my laptop (Windows 8), with no password--usually I just turn on the laptop and it boots up to home screen. When I boot up today, the screen says "Welcome" then "signing out" and then I'm at a sky blue screen with a date and time on the lower left. The only option is to click on my user profile icon to try to log in again, but it keeps signing me out over and over. The power button on the lower right corner is not clickable. I can do CTRL+ALT+Delete to get the Task Manager, but I don't know what to do with it. I tried running the "explorer.exe", but it won't run. Nothing else works. What else can I try? Thanks!

Hi, I had the same problem yesterday. I thought I would have to get a new computer!! However just keep on trying to get in to your coputer and eventually it will come up with 'you seem to be having some problems accessing windows' it will give you options and I took the option to restore to a previous point which it did to last week some time. Took a while but lo and behold I am back on my computer and all is functioning well. I do hope this helps. YOu do have to keep on and on trying to get on tho' as it takes an age to recognise what is going on. Best of luck
