Hi all, I am trying to upgrade from windows 8 to 8.1... It restarts the system and then I get a bsod but with options (saying something like remove any external hardware blah blah inaccessible device, I think).. like the repair screen sort of.. having to pick the option "try again on another operating system"

(or something like that), it then boots to windows 8 saying "Sorry we couldn't complete the update to Windows 8.1.
We restored your previous version of Windows to this PC"

This is in my M17xR4 with SSD and HDD with Msata (set as storage), do you think It might be the Msata 32gig messing things up? (again)

I am thinking of just removing the Msata from the computer but it looks a bit tricky as it's under the palm rest.

Any help from anyone would be appreciated, also has anyone actually set up 8.1 on the same laptop as me?

(had also deleted the msata in disk management, however the bios will still see it's installed)
