Does anyone go through with customizing logon/shutdown screens, windows, cursors, etc.? Since I've gotten to the point where I'm happy with the laptops I have for the roles I intended, I want to truly make them 'mine'. Looking at various sites, everyone suggests a variety of packages in order to enable visual styles in Windows.

Is there a consensus as to which package is the best? WindowBlinds seems to be a popular one. My concern is I want a package easy to use, allow me to add my own graphics, and will handle of the customization features. I don't want one package that can only handle the windows, and another that can do the shutdown and startup screens. Any suggestions?

For some reason I'm ultra-content with XP as it is. I just switched to the grey bars and that's about it. I don't tend to keep my hardware around long enough to make it to personal. In fact, I haven't done any customization since 3.11 when I installed the ocean theme from Plus!...heh...those were the days.

Ahh, Win 3.1....those were the simplier days.

For the most part, I am content with XP as it is. So much so, I even went back to the classic menu styles[ :D] I've never really been one for customization, but it's been intriguing me. It started with my iPaq. I found very functional and cool 'desktops' to use through such apps like JournalBar. [ :D]I'm very content with m v505 and am confident I finally found the right machine for work. Now, I want to take the time and personalize it. I just gotta be different!!
