Hi all, I'm trying to burn some videos onto a DVD-R. I'm using Windows 7's Windows DVD Maker. I insert the blank DVD in, it asks me if I want to burn it like a USB or DVD, I choose DVD. I choose the files to burn, then start burning. When it's done, the dvd is just blank. I tried to play it on my DVD player as well as the computer - the DVD player gets stuck on "loading" and my computer recognizes it as a blank disc. What should I do?

Third party software is nearly always your friend over Windows applications. There are quite a few good disc burning utilities out there that will do images, music, data, etc., many of which are free. Give them a whirl.

Update 2: CD Burner XP doesn't let me burn DVD unless I have VIDEO_TS folder, which I do not.

Deep Burner - does not let me add files. F it, i'll just watch it on my computer, this is not worth the time at all.

ive never had a problem with ashampoo before. could well be something conflicting but have no idea what the heck it could be. -
A DVD video disk must have the proper structure. You don't have that. Look here for the proper structure: DVD-Video - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
If you want to burn a DVD Data disk then that is another story. -

Time for a new burner, perhaps? You can give InfraRecorder a go, although I don't think it will burn movies to a disc; only data DVDs.
InfraRecorder » Downloads
You can also try this, although I've never tested it myself (I think I may after reading up on it though): Download DeepBurner 1.9.0.228 - FileHippo.com
I would like to recommend Nero Lite, but I'm about as ecstatic over it's forced Ask toolbar install that you can't opt out of as much as I am for Lady Gaga's forthcoming album. -
