Just having a problem with Windows Defender not updating, I've tried searching about it on Google and on the Microsoft Knowledge base but no luck. Anyone with any ideas?

I was reading an article saying I should delete my 'Virus Definition' file and let it start again from scratch or something along those lines. Would this be a viable method of updating and keeping my computer safe?

    Thanks.

try exiting it and restarting it. If you want to update it manually you have to click on the arrow pointing down next to the question mark icon and go to "Check for updates."

I've tried that, also restarted my computer too. Any other ideas?
