    Hey everyone,

I'm not sure if this thread belongs here, but I have an issue with the laptop hard drive that I removed from my laptop when the fan died. I had set a Windows password earlier on my laptop, and when I put this hard drive into an enclosure and tried to access it from another system running windows, and I can get to everything but I cannot get to my documents inside the "Documents and Settings" folder. The error message displays simply that "Access is denied". What could I do to get around this?

    Thanks,

You need to take ownership of the files. XP or Vista?

The laptop's system was Windows XP, and I'm trying to access it in Windows XP as well.
