Getting an error that should come up when the files in use are not compatible IIRC however I'm using .avi video files created by FRAPS as well as Windows Media music files. Even though I'm able to edit everything fine, working as should (despite some performance hiccups), when it comes to actually saving the movie itself it errors. What is going on here? It's rather frustrating and I highly doubt the cutting up of files affects the compression/algorithms in a manner that makes them unusable in Windows HD Movie Maker. Oh and yes, all the files that I'm trying to cut up are still stored in their point of origin. None of them are deleted.

Nice joke, I already used Google. Most of what came up I explained was not the case in my post. The error code seems to be highly related to lack of a specific codec to the files being edited from what I could tell, but I'm not having trouble playing the files or editing them in Movie Maker. I actually managed to get the video to render and complete the render when done at 720p. 1080p still gave me the error about 10% through the process.
