    Hello People,

I am getting the following error whenever i try to install or uninstall something.

"The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance."

I tried downloading the Installer from Microsoft.. but that doesn't run saying that there is no storage space... i still have 70Gb left on my drive.

Please HELP!!!!! Oh its Vista by the way

With your VISTA disk in the DVD drive, press the WINDOWS key + R
    check RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
    and type
    sfc /scannow
    in the box

    Hit ENTER....

(I suspect a program may have overwritten a windows vista file with an old XP file)
