    Hi, I have massive problems with Windows Installer... I've tried everything microsoft gives me but their info sucks :(

    I want to instal enemy territory quake wars demo and open office but they both say: Windows installer could not be accessed....

    Why would I instal 3.1 if I have 4.0 right now!>!?!!

    Newer article but doesnt help though... I am not risking to uninstall and reainstall it! I tried the first thing which is re-registering it... but its really hardto get vista in safe mode... ( I got it ) then the msiexec /regserver just gives me info on what commands I can give after msiexec / which all dont work because I cant even reinstall msi since it says cant access windows installer service... SO FRIGGIN IRONIC Reinstall it but it has to use itself... wtf?
