Sorry about your Windows problems. Not sure which version you have, but I have found XP to be pretty solid. And you are hearing this from a guy who thought Windows 3.11 was a piece of junk (DOS was better).

Apples are quality, capable, and aesthetically pleasing computers, but you will need to talk with the gamers here regarding what is available for them.

A hint for learning Linux: put it on a desktop (preferably with dedicated graphics) and get it running and learn the basics on that first. My first experience with Linux is my AVERATEC 3270, which has natively unsupported graphics and wireless, and a whole mess of problems with PCMCIA and card reader and battery support. Definately not the best place to start.

"I have Windows, and when I go to the store to buy a PC game, it is soo hard to find the game that I want. But now that I have an Apple, its so much easier to find games, because there is only ONE,"

I think thats how it goes.

Xp is fine for me at the moment, maybe down the road for linux for me too. ;)
Or in a matter of fact, we will see how Vista will do. :D

for linux try ubuntu I found it very easy for someone starting with little linux background and there are a lot of forums for support ... there is a live cd version (full os runs from cd) it's a nice way to get teh feel for it without going thru the hassle of set up.

Now they are on an old HDD that is not hooked up to anything, and sitting in my drawer!

    Edit: try this site: http://www.allowe.com/

I can spot at least on of those videos there. There is a funny flash about switching to linux

I've seen some on T.V. before, on G4 I think, back when I used to watch that channel like crazy.
