When I click on an e-mail address on a web page, it takes 10 seconds for a Windows Live Mail Compose e-mail window to open. This is with Windows Live Mail program closed.
I have an i5 processor.
That seems way too long to me.
How long should it take?

I actually don't use my Windows Live e-mail address often.
I was wondering if 10 seconds is a normal amount of time. -
-> Well, if you click on a link the OS first needs to start Windows Live Mail then open the window.
Opening the window is quick, opening Windows Live Mail isn't and that's your issue.
On that note though, the idea of an email client is to leave it running in the background.
On that note - 10s is possibly very good depending on your HDD and the amount of emails you have saved on your HDD.
Edit:
Oh, and Windows Live Mail can also use non-live email accounts, same as I use Outlook wit different email addresses.
Windows Live Mail Compose window opens slow
