I'm using Windows Live Messenger and I want to transfer all of my custom emotions to another pc. Does anyone know how to do that? Cheers. :)

    you will find them here:

    C:\Documents and Settings\ YOURUSERNAME\ Configurações locais\Application Data\Microsoft\Messenger\ YOURMSNEMAIL\ObjectStore\CustomEmoticons

The .dt2 files are the custom emoticon images (open them with image viewing program). The .id2 files I don't know what are for.

    NOTE:
    - Configurações locais should be 'Local settings' or something like this. (My windows is PT-BR)

If I remember correctly, the old MSN Messenger (7.5 and older) use a different folder to store and different file types too (I made backup of them some time ago).
I tried to put the files back into the folder after a reformat, but I was unlucky (maybe because I saved just the .dt2 files...), so, I don't know what to say about how to put them back. (Of course, if you have 10 or 20, it's okay to add them back manually, but when you have 300  )

TIP: if you want to save them as images (to add them back 'old school style'), just change the .dt2 extension to .jpg.
BIG TIP: again, it's easy work with 10 or 20, but to do this with 300, follow the steps:
    - open DOS command prompt (start > run > cmd [ENTER])
    - navigate to the directory where the .dt2 files are (it's easier if you copy them to a new folder on your desktop)
    - when you are inside the directory, type (on the prompt): ren *.dt2 *.jpg
    - hit ENTER and close the command prompt
    - TA-DA! Take a look at your files ;)

    regards, mathx
